Car Buying Comparison Table and Finance Calculator

Every year I go through the complicated and tiresome process of buying a family car, as this is often the second biggest monthly expense our family has outside of a mortgage it's something I obsess about, as someone very passionate about personal finance and getting the best bang for my buck.

I spend days comparing car makes, car models, car trim levels, identical cars from different dealers. I then go further to compare different finance options within PCP, which have different fee structures, different payment months. I then compare different dealers based on dealer contributions and discount options. This leaves me with potentially hundreds if not thousands of configurations.

I then go further to working out what the vehicle will be worth at the end of the payment process to see how much equity I'll be able to get back (this is for a further iteration of this product)

This is all through email / phone calls which can get very very messy, and hard to track, and ultimately compare different options to find the best deal.

I designed this to help me organize this process, and have shared it with friends as they find it helpful.

It's a PCP calculator which typically saves me anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000GBP per year.
